The TRANSCEND clinical trial is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug-coated balloon (DCB) catheter, the Surmodics™ SurVeil™ DCB, in the treatment of narrowing within an artery in the thigh. The trial will test how well the SurVeil DCB catheter performs in treating this narrowing compared to the Food and Drug Administration-approved Medtronic IN.PACT^® Admiral^® DCB catheter.

As a trial participant, you were randomly assigned to receive treatment with either the Surmodics SurVeil DCB, an investigational device available only through this clinical trial, or the commercially-available Medtronic IN.PACT^® Admiral^® DCB catheter.
